This bespoke abstract painting is titled “BEING” and is inspired by the unique natural environment of Colombo, one of the world’s recognized wetland cities. Created for a stunning home in Rajagiriya, this piece bridges the surrounding elements—bringing the outdoors inside.

The wall where it hangs connects a courtyard pond, an outdoor pool, and the expansive wetland beyond the backyard. The concept behind “BEING” is to seamlessly blend these natural environments, visually and emotionally, through the painting. Its layers and textures reflect the fluidity of water, the lushness of wetlands, and the harmony between architecture and nature.
