TOWARDS  2021

In my paintings, horses represent myself; in other words, this is a self-portrait. A white horse fresh, pure, and soulful. In the next sequel, which I created in 2024, the horse becomes unstoppable and much more colourful. During the Rossey collection period, I expressed emotional depth through colour, seeing life in a more optimistic way and focusing on the good. The colours represent experience and emotion.

I wrote the following words in my journal while creating Towards:

She’s tired, she’s still waiting
Now she’s running through the field in the sunset
Sun shines, embraces her grace,
She’s shining like a star in the dark sky
Her heart is dull, but she’s bright, she’s brave, she runs.
runs and runs, she’s still strong,
To meet her strength
No matter what, the sky, the wind, the clouds, the grass smell give her the life to live her own life
Each and everyday.
She hadn’t met a soul yet
But she knew her soul lies in nature.
Because she’s strong
When it goes through her.
